Milestone, Milestone Dental Clinic, and RocVale Children’s Home

Overview

Milestone, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of parents and guardians of the individuals we serve and community business leaders. Milestone is the  largest provider of residential, developmental, vocational, and social support services for adults and children with mental retardation, autism, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy.

Milestone, Inc. has many residential divisions including Adult Group Homes, RocVale Children’s Home, Training Centers, Industrial Workshops, and a Corporate Center located throughout the greater Rockford area.

The dental clinic accepts eligible individuals of any age with developmental disabilities and provides services, with priority given to individuals in licensed facilities or programs. ONLY individuals with developmental disabilities will be eligible to become patients. We also accept Illinois Public Aid and private dental insurance, offering a sliding fee scale for those not covered by Public Aid or who don’t qualify for other assistance.

Mission

Everyone has the right to be treated with respect to participate in community life, to develop and exercise personal competence, to have family and friends, ansd to make decisions in their lives. Milestone Inc. exists to ensure that persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities can exercise those rights.

Purpose

Milestone, Inc. is a family of over 750 people coming together to provide the best life for the intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals we serve; 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  It’s our mission, our purpose.
