Overview
Goodwill provides job placement assistance for adults with disabilities through one-on-one job searching skills, application, resume, and cover letter development, and assistance with interviewing. We also provide on-site job coaching for those needing additional assistance to achieve success at work.
Goodwill also provides supported employment, which includes rapid paid employment at Goodwill locations in Rockford, Sterling, and Freeport. While participants work in the Goodwill store, they earn money and work on job skills, including communication, technical skills, and job searching skills. Job coaches help on-site and help participants find community employment, where job coaching can continue for up to 1 year.
Goodwill provides a bi-weekly job club for job seekers with disabilities in the community. This bi-weekly Job Club provides the opportunity to learn skills while networking with peers and learning from one another.
